There once was a turtle
she was locked in her shell
shed listen to the wind
as each day fell
They would smile around her
pretend everythings alright
All she wanted to do
was avoid a fight
So she stayed in her painted shell
full of knick knacks and things
And would wander outside
only at the end of spring
Wander out seeking for someone
with the key to her shell
Someone who would unlock
Let her escape from her personal hell
And as she wanders the sea, the desert
and the moon and the stars
The clouds and the sun
and the silly dark bars
She wonders if she will ever find
The one with the key
who can unlock her shell
and set her soul free

If you're not getting smarter then you're getting dumber

That's not what she said.

Fast-forward through the coral
Though bones of highways white
Here history is illuminated
Each fragment's like a sunken liner where rust and silver wait for me
And I'm a wave butcher, cutting, chopping
Here I come into the sea
